Members of the SC expressed great interest in the project and activities to be implemented, especially for the control of invasive species populations and for communication with fishermen. The Committee will meet at least twice a year and more thoroughly address the challenges of the process of proclaiming new marine protected areas important for birds (SPAs), for the purpose of protecting and conserving target species populations. In this way, it will be possible to achieve even better cooperation between the nature and fisheries sector on one side and on the other side the administrative bodies and partners – civil society organizations and public institutions for the management of protected areas.
